Since exams are over, I'm going to have to start dealing with my life again. It's one of those obligations that pops up when you realize there's nothing else you can do about your grades slash future.
I miss the convenient excuse that school has always provided me. Distance from boyfriends, shirking of family chores, neglecting social obligations. Summers are a brief throwback into reality- or at least a world where selfishness is less of an option. School is such a nice space between me and the people I love...
In other news, I'm going to start posting a picture every time I can, just because I decided I liked blogs with pictures. So here's a pretty unrelated shot of my principal and I at my high school graduation, which happened two years ago at this point. Yeesh, I'm getting old. If only graduation hats were my best look...
Also, Mr. Hickey (the pictured principal) is actually retiring- his party is tomorrow. I can't go. But he's an awesome educator, I was lucky to have had him as a mentor!
